Meet Dr. Meg!

Hi there, I’m Dr. Meg!

As a Catholic and bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Licensed School Psychologist, I specialize in psycho-educational, gifted, developmental, and social/ emotional/ behavioral evaluations in South Florida. I also provide support for families through home-school collaboration, individual and group therapy, parent counseling, and parenting courses.

While I support families of every faith, culture, and language background in my practice, my Catholic identity and Cuban heritage often provide a beautiful way for families to connect with me because they can feel confident in a shared religious background and/or a common language.

Over the last decade, I have worked to provide quality, individualized, care for children and families to optimize scholastic, social, emotional, and behavioral wellness and success! This includes evaluations, counseling, and other person-focused family care that will best support the development and psychological wellness of the child.

Children and adolescents' strengths are often overlooked when they struggle. My aim is to see the whole child, highlight their strengths, and work collaboratively with families and schools to develop a plan for success using their strengths to address areas of weakness.

Similarly, I see your family as a whole, holy, unit. If you are in need of support, wherever that may be, know that I will help you find what you need, when you need it. Each person and family has dignity and deserves to be treated as such. I look forward to serving you!

Life Outside the Office

My husband, Daniel, and I met on retreat while in college at St. John’s University. We married in 2016 while I was completing my PsyD. Four years later, we moved to my hometown of Miami, FL. We have since welcomed a daughter and five dogs to our family! When not serving our students and families at work, we love spending time outside, reading, playing together, and traveling to see our families, who reside all across the country.

Beyond the Credentials

My favorite days are spent with a cup of coffee and a good book, snuggled up with my puppies and chasing around our toddler!

I am a huge girlie girl who loves pink, purple, sparkles, whimsy, and Disney.

I am one of six children and desire that same kind of large family one day.

I am a theatre/choir kid at heart! Musicals are my jam, especially The Sound of Music. I was in competitive choir in high school and reminisce often about those days of rehearsal and sight reading new music.

Our family has 5 dogs!
